In 2024 I quit my stable architecture job in Romania and booked a one-way ticket. No plan for coming back, just a month of research, a list of places no travel blog mentions, and a stubborn belief that getting lost is the fastest way to find something real.

Before every city, I'd spend weeks reading about neighborhoods tucked behind temples, streets locals swear by, cafés that never make it onto TripAdvisor. Then I'd give myself a day, sometimes just a few hours, to wander with no fixed route. That's when the magic happened. A hidden courtyard, a building that stopped me in my tracks, a conversation with someone who completely changed how I saw the place.

Little by little I was discovering my own way to travel. What started as scribbled notes and saved pins grew into something bigger. Each city pushed me to dig deeper, to look past the obvious and find the corners that felt authentic. This map is the result of that journey, outlining how I explored the city and the experiences that stayed with me.
